This guy is about 3 years old, easy 5 inches i length and a gentle giant. Do they get bigger in fish tanks? Have you ever kept them with Cichlids?

Supposedly they get to six inches. Mine are about five. I have them in with South American cichlids, even though it’s biotopically incorrect. They aren’t a problem.
Nice! This tank is getting small for her, I’m thinking about adding her to my Frontosa tank. She is peaceful and gentle, even with plants.
Like you said, biotopically it’s not a good idea but I think they’ll be okay.
