A couple of people at the meeting today asked me about catfishes for African Rift Lake tanks. I generated some lists that should be useful. They can be accessed via the links below. There are about 60ish species of catfishes found in the various African Rift Lakes, so lots of choices, but you are pretty unlikley to find these in your LFS.

I have left out the Ethiopian Rift Lakes, the Eastern Rift Lakes, and Lake Mweru, but can include them if there is interest.
To give a massive amount of credit where credit is due, the above system (and data entry) that makes these types of searches possible was designed by Mats Petersson. A truly insane undertaking that allows us to search any body of water in the world and determine scientific catfish records from that location.
