Question is once I take decor out and give it the bleach bath how do I make sure I'm not getting any bleach back in the aquarium?

Rinse it and then add dechlorinator. But you can kill BBA with hydrogen peroxide and/or Flourish Excel, which are less toxic.

I would scrub and then dip the parts. You don’t need to use full strength peroxide. Search the internet for instructions.

I've had moderate success with Excel, though it does come back. I've since been adding a load of plants to the tank to take up the excess nutrients that the algae have been feeding on. In the past, I've dipped my stuff in bleach, rinsed, and let dry out for awhile, then re-rinsed before putting back in the aquarium.
