Ramirezi Spawn

My blue rams spawned after the last storm. It's the first time they have spawned, and they immediately set about eating the eggs. I managed to catch them in time to save a (very) small number of the eggs, and transfer them to a nursery tank. They hatched to wrigglers this morning. I'll post if they continue doing well and I find myself in need a checker. I'm not particularly optimistic since I've read so much about blue ram fry dying en masse. That and I haven't raised any of my fry away from the parents yet, so this is my first shot at artificial rearing.

Let me know if they make it. Tracey and I are always looking for a Saturday or Sunday ride.
I have a few things going on but we can put that into the mix. I always like that area and
never get down there.

LOL, well it looks like I have about 6 free swimmers. It was only a tiny number of the eggs I was able to save before the parents ate them, and from those only a fraction hatched. The small number I have seem to be growing and doing well, but I really hesitate to ask anyone to come all the way out here for 6 wee fry,
My adults are courting pretty furiously again, (I have one male and two females) so I am expecting more eggs sometime soon. I do hope these babies survive, as the blue rams are my faves.
