questionable fluval G6

I had a fluval g6 come with a used tank i picked up. I was told it worked for the previous owner but i have been unable to get it to work. Keep getting the check impeller error.

Anyone interested in the filter for parts? (Or if you can get it working, a great deal on a 370 dollar filter)
