Pre-Orders for the October Meeting

JLW

CCA Members
Hey Folks, we've got a great list available for pre-orders, which will be arriving in time for the meeting. As usual, you must e-mail BatfishAquatics@gmail.com with a list of what you want and make a 50-percent deposit on the fish. Please specify when you wish to pick up the fish. They may be shipped, picked up at PVAS, or at CCA. We'll have another list before Aqua Mania.

This list has TWO sets of fish mixed into it. Anything marked with a *, as well as all plants, must be ordered by NOON on Monday (tomorrow).
Everything else has until 5 PM on Tuesday.

A couple of highlights from the list:
We have the Transvestite Cichlid back available. This is an unusual bottom dwelling cichlid from Congo, which shows marked sexual dichromatism. In most fish, males are way more colourful and females are kind of blah. In this fish, the males are the plainer fish, while the females are incredibly beautiful. They can be kind of nasty, though.

Nigerian Red Kribs are back available. This is a variant of the Taeniatus Kribensi which has A LOT of red on them. They're absolutely gorgeous.

The Long Nosed Cory, Cory. ambiacus is available as well. This is a nice, spotted cory with a very long snout -- super cool, and not very common.

We have two new species of Hara cats available. The most common is Hara jerdoni, which we keep in stock. These two relatives are also small, kind of an analog for Corydoras. They've got a great shape to them, and a really cool pattern.

I have some really, really unusual tetras available, as well. The January Tetra is a fish that I don't think I've ever seen in the flesh. Sometimes called a "Green Neon," it is an glassy green colour, and very striking. Great for a smaller tank. The Lapis Tetras is an immensely rare tetra that resembles an Emperor Tetra with the colours gone wild. They're expensive, but a shoal of these guys in a planted tank would be something to see. Additionally, we have two bred forms of the Black Neon Tetra, the Brilliant and the Red Stripe available, as well as regular Black Neons.

Tiger Lotus is also available under plants.

Fish Available for Delivery to PVAS Saturday, CCA next week.
