I've seen many people on mfk with pothos vines in their tanks for filtration, does anyone have any experience with using these plants as filters?

I wouldn't call them "filters" per se, but I use some in my tanks. Simply place the roots in the tank and let them grow...

Very easy to grow. Just stick a stem in the water and it will form roots. My Mbuna like to eat them, though.

They will lower your nitrates but will absorb trace elements, think a small plant will absorb like 198 ppm of nitrates each day, still gotta keep up with water changes to replenish trace elements

I was wondering about the arowana because he will readily accept cucumber slices (that are meant for my pleco).
