Pasting Images In Posts From Host Site

It is very easy to paste an image into your composition tablet when writing a post. Many folks struggle to get it done the first couple times. Perhaps this will help.

First basic task is to upload your images into a host site. By far, Photobucket is the best one out there imo. And it is free too. However, I pay the extra $25 a year for the unlimited premium package. I probably have several thousand images hosted there currently.

Once you have your images stored, all you have to do is go to your Photobucket account, find the image you want to include in the post, and copy the url from the properties. With Photobucket this is really easy. There is a menu of url addresses below (or next to) the image. The easiest way to do it is simply place the mouse cursor over the choice that is for "IMG Code - Forums and Bulletin Boards". Click on the url, it will highlight and the word "COPPIED" flashes one time. You image is now ready to paste. It looks like this:
PhotobucketCopyPaste.jpg

Go back to the post you are writing and insert the image in the text box where you want it by simply right clicking the mouse and select "paste".

That's all there is to it.

Another tip for beginners. Remember you can have multiple windows opened when you are on the internet. I keep Photobucket bookmarked so all I have to do is open a new tab, click on favorites (bookmarks), and select the Photobucket account. Just bounce back and forth between the windows. That way it only takes seconds to post many images.

I find this is a better way to share your images compared to inserting attachments.

Bobby - I gotta tell you -- that's TOO easy! I'm glad you posted this, because I just tried adding a picture directly from Photobucket & was adding the url to the "select file" area here in error. Thanks for making your post "Idiot Proof" as I had to come back & re-read it!
Works like a charm! Thanks again!
