Good job, They have been added to the Cares preservation list as an extremely endangered species, make sure everyone who gets them knows this so they don't do something stupid like cross them with domestic loisellei or freddies. They are Parachromis sp. La Ceiba "Yellow Head" Ken

I noticed there seemed to be less fry. I thought maybe they were just spread out over the tank more...until I saw another small convict that's managed to say out of the parents mouth. I can't catch her, she gets behind the background were no one can see her. I watch the female chase her for a while today, the male needs to join in and finish her off before the con gets all the fry. The convicts were left over feeders from the tanks previous resident adn escaped behind the background.

I can't get it back there and it's not that strong. I'm cleaning out a 20g now and I'm going net out some of the fry.

Well things have taken a turn for the worst. The pair started lip locking a few days ago and it was very loving, they've stopped guarding the fry and the female was cleaning a rock last night. I netted about 20-25 fry and put them in a 20g but they are sooooo small I have a hard time finding them. I'm worried the male is going to kill her, I've added a ton of junk to the tank to give her places to run but she's pretty stressed. Tonight I think I'll pull the male from the tank until I can get a divider for it. The male is going through a massive growth spurt and is twice her size now. So, maybe a divder with a love door.

Yeah it'll be really cool. It'll have a door bell and a porch light and if the light is on he knows it's ok to ring the bell.

well things went from bad to worse, I walked in the door tonight to find the 72g with a broken back pain of glass. I have no idea how it happened, it's just cracked from one side to the other. The leak was slow so only about 40g was on the floor and I didn't lose any fish. But now the yellow heads are in with the festae so we'll see how it goes. I was able to save 3-4 fry but that's all I could find.
