NJAS is running a trip to Ira Harris' house in the Bronx, Saturday March 27.
We are meeting at 9:00am at...

Ira is the exclusive hobby distributor of Don Conkels Tropicals of Florida. For those of you who don't know Don, he has been Collecting, Importing and breeding rare and unusual South, Central and American Cichlids for over 30 years! Don has authored books and several articiles on SA/CA Cichlids. Don's fish are top quality and some stuff you have never seen!

Ira will have stuff from fry to adults. Since Ira deals out of his basement space is limited so please pm me.

A great time was had by all. What a great variety of new world cichlids, worth the trip alone just to see. It was nice to meet Ira. He did a great job of hosting the field trip.

I have heard great things about Ira, and I believe that he might become a force in the New World hobby. He allows people into his home and, from what everyone has told me, has not only great stock but has perfectly clean tanks with a great reputation.
I am glad that some took advantage to visit him.
