Hi I am pretty new to this hobby and just got my first new tank and now I am looking for some maintenance tools like Python and attachments.
I am in Virginia, so its quite too far.Don't know your home location, but That Fish Place in Lancaster, PA has them.
Thanks, but its still 1 to 1-1/2 hours drive from my location.I have a (I think) 25’er that’s basically unused. Very clean. Can let go for $25. Pickup in 20722
One tank 55 G.Depending on your setup, # of tanks, etc. some people will just use a pump and water hose. Pythons are great, and I used one for many years (still do for smaller tanks) but they do waste a lot of water and sometimes need parts replaced.
Aren't you pumping straight cold water in your tank if you use a hose?Depending on your setup, # of tanks, etc. some people will just use a pump and water hose. Some people only use it for draining, but you can also hook it up to a standard faucet for filling like you would with a python.Aren't you pumping straight cold water in your tank if you use a hose?
Thanks, I ordered python from amazon, receiving today.I picked up a Super Syphon from Jehmco to drain the tanks and use tap water to fill them up. I also replaced the plastic Python fawcet connectors with brass parts from Home Depot.
