Nerite Snail Shell....

I have 5 Olive Nerite and 2 Zebra Nerite snails. On 2 of the snails (1 olive and 1 zebra) the shell looks to have come off and its just white now. I dont see any remains of the shell in the tank. I dont see the fish picking at them. Any ideas.....Rachel feel free to chime in lol.

Hey that happened to both of my Zebra Nerites too! I thought it happened when dropped the nerites into the tank but it was only a 3" fall.

what is your pH and hardness? Sounds like it could be erosion.

My ph is 7.8+ Is that too high for nerites?

Mine is around 8.0

I have this same issue. I also noticed that the snails ride on each other a lot. I kinda though that they were eating each others shells.
