My Epic 4x3 guinea pig enclosure!

Nothing new. Just my 2 6 year olds cage. People who keep these animals in petsmart cages are oblivious to the care of these animals. These are social animals that need room.

Anyways hopefully i inspired you to do something cool like this :)

Why make a statement worded like this? My guinea pig does have a large cage and I do agree that they do like and prefer larger cages, but why call the people that do this oblivious to the care needed? Why not say, "Guinea pigs are most happy in large spaces were they are free to play and chase." ?

Just my two cents. Sometimes you have to watch what you say.

I agree, the people who keep them in those cages probably do that because the people at petsmart told them its fine.

I do applaude you for making the extra effort to give your pets a nicer home. I am sure they appreciate it... Not everyone can afford / justify high dollar enclosures and you did a good job with what you had, also I am all for the reusing and repurposing of items to meet a different need than it was originally intended for...

Well if you are asking a petsmart employee about caging then you did not do research. Thats just as bad as people buying redtail cats cuz the fish store said...

This cage believe it or not is CHEAPER or only a few $ more then a petsmart cage. If people researched the animal they would know this. Look up C&C cages. I built it. They are inexpensive and easy to make.

I stay true to that. I meant exactly what i said. I see so many people with improper care. Its like a redtail cat in a 55 gallon for those little cages.
