Mountain bike help!!!!

I am looking to get back into mountain biking. NOthing extreme right now, just dirt trails and paved surfaces. I am looking at the following.

I dont want o buy one and regret it. So any help letting me know which is better quality, and so on.....

Why make two threads?

Anyways, I'd go with Giant. Granted, I'm a Giant brand fan. I've had their previous bikes and they have always been solid.

Its between those too exact models. The DB is a true mountain bike and the Giant is cosidered a Comfort bike..so.......

The one that Phil posted looks like the most solid of the two bikes. I would always get the one that can do the extreme stuff first because you know it will work for the casual stuff(comfort).The one feature that stands out the most to me is the Rincon has disk brakes. When you are doing offroad stuff good brakes(disk) can be the difference between having fun or a trip to the hospital.
