Another one that is not the best picture in the world. But still working on it. This guy is about 1/8 inch or less. It took me 10 minutes to find this guy before I could try to focus on him. I am beginning to think that my close up vision may be causing me not to be able to focus on these catfish. I am going to try with reading glasses when on manual focus.

Something that small a tripod or monopod is probably the best bet. Also more light may help with the af.

The 60mm is not long enough for something that small. Order yourself a Nikkor 105mm f/2.8d micro lens. Then let me borrow it.

Keep working it until you can see a focused eye.

Remember this little guy was right next to the front glass and I had the camera just a few inches away from him.

And these pee wees were about a half inch.
