Check out the opening bid from last weeks Monster Fish Konvention. The Konvention was a ton of fun. Lots of great speakers, giveaways and 2 days of auctions. Will be definitely going next year.

$280 for 2 1.75" L46...yikes. Have to hand it to Bill, he does know how to get (well beyond) top dollar at his auctions. :)

up there looking to buy quality home-grown fish.

I think Zebra Plecos are the current "it" fish. The prices have actually come down a bit, so that more people are actually considering them.

I think some of the past "hot" fish have dropped off. There doesn't seem to be the demand for discus and frontosas that there used to be.

The prices seem to match up with what is being offered on aquabid and I can see wanting to see the fish in person rather than buying sight unseen.
