Hurricane 5 Air Pump Reviews?

At Matt's suggestion, I am looking into getting a few Hurricane 5 air pumps. I have seen that the original maker has stopped producing them and Deep Blue is now putting them out. I can't find any substantial reviews online and was wondering if any of you (in addition to Matt) are using them. I would like to know:

1) How quiet are they compared to the hum of a whisper air pump or large canister filter?
2) Are they powerful enough to run more than two box filters or sponges using T-valves?

I would also like to know if anyone is using a similar product (air pump with battery back-up), how they view the product they are using in regards to the questions above.

Thank you,
Andrew

Yes - really quiet.

I run about 4-5 air powere boxes / sponges in 1' deep tanks per outlet on the Hurricane 5.

Matt's convinced me to consider the H5 also. But just so I understand your reply Matt, there are two outlets on a H5, so are you running up to 10 sponges/box filters?

Andrew, if you decide to order some, I'd be down to split shipping with you. Kensfish.com is the cheapest at $70.

I borrowed Matt's for a while when he had his house fire. I used it to run sponges in a 2 foot deep 120. It had plenty of umph to drive them when smaller pumps failed. It was also nice that it kept running during water changes to help to aerate the water as I filled.
