Double ziplock into the trash...

In Cali we had a big garden so I'd throw them in there (watered it with water change water too). No such garden here...

I usually put them in a ziplock bag and into the freezer. And they usually stay there.
I would glady donate to a University looking for studies and research, but I have no idea which ones or how I would actually do it.

After more than 9 years in the hobby, I still get upset when I lose a fish.

The first time I lost a discus, I was CRYING and CRYING like crazy.

Long term members of my club -- Jack Borgese and Larry Jinks -- gave me this heartwarming and comforting advice:

"Jeez, you gotta get thicker skin!!!!"

Usually I flush it. Sometimes I throw it away if it is small. Other times I freeze it with the intent of throwing it away later.

Every fish gets freezer popped (dying and the dead), then into the trash on trash day.
same here, dead or looks to bad to cure.freezer and into the trash on my way out to work that morning on garbage day.

I dont think i ever flushed a fish. I know that the sewer water (at least in NJ) goes to a sewer treatment facility and comes back to our homes:eek: lol
