As with most LFS it was labeled "Jewel Cichlid". I was intrigued by the yellow/orange coloration and elongated snout. I bought three in hopes they are H.Stellifer but they are most likely H.Guttatus. If anyone can positively ID I would greatly appreciate it.
I had three spawning pairs and they never showed any yellow or orange, only bright red . Have a tankful of 1/2" fry at present and the parents are still lit up.
