It's rarely stocked in LFS. You have to buy it from breeders or by mail order. I have an extra Hemichromis faciatus looking for a new home.

Beltway Aquarium sometimes gets hemichromis elongatus (5-star general), but I have not seen fasciatus locally.

Yeah you can get elongatus all day long. The last fasciatus and fremongi I got was from Jeff rapps a few years ago
