Help!! Electric blue acara babies

Hello group,

So Thursday I was going to do a water change and found out that one of my electric blue Acaras had just popped out some babies . Please keep I mind I’m new to this and that this not my intention.

They are currently in a 55gal that I divided with a tank divider that my wife bought the next day. For once, she was exited about fish lol

I need some major advise. The divider is wimpy as some other tank mates have found their way into their area. The parents are actually doing good. Although my kids said that the mom was eating some of the babies as I was installing the divider there are still plenty left though. What’s the next step??? Thanks

You could always relocate the babies and raise them away from the other fish. You could also fix the divider to prevent fish from getting to the babies. If you're worried about the parents eating their babies, move the parents to the other side of the divider.
