Hello all
Where to start...well I am Don I am a former Marine and a current vol fire fighter/emt, I have a 7 year old son, I used to manage a store for 12 years and africans were always my love. I started with a 33 flat back hex tank 16 years ago and got africans and knew nothing other than they needed to be in water and food. It was so fascinating to me that I got a part time job at the store just to learn more. I have had 10 tanks going at once (yes I was single then lol) with everything from africas, plant tanks, reef tanks, poison dart frogs and even a dwarf caimen and american alligator lol. No matter what tanks I had tho Ive always came back to africans. I like more tanganyikans and victorians but do like some of the malawis also.
The store I ran has now been closed down for a few years and I have only had my reef tank going. My girlfriend was asking me about fish and as I was talking to her she saw how excited I got just talking about fish so we got a 75 with lelupi, brichardi, tretacephalus, tropheus (bemba flame) and of course a lab. Thats certainly just a start and now she is getting into it too. I miss talking fish with customers so I thought where better else to go than here!
I learned about this site from a guy maybe 10 or so years ago who came into the store looking to sell some labs that he was breeding. Then it was Demasoni, Eureka red peacocks and even some Red shoulder green sevrums. Pat Kelley ...how ya been? It only took a few years but Im here lol
