Green Water

I need to start a green water culture. I have read a lot about using miracle grow to get it going. Anyone ever have any experience with doing this and then feeding fry with it? I usually use dried grass from my yard, but right now it is under 2 feet of snow!!!! The grass always gives me a good infusoria bloom as well.

I have a terrible green water problem right now in my 55. I didn't realize you could feed fry with it though, thanks for the tip!

crushed lettuce works pretty well to get it started

Does the lettuce have to be dried??? Or just crush it up fresh?
