I have a 55 gl mix malawi with 15 in there..wanted to know if there is anything besides plecos,cats.. that i could put in there with Malawi africans? (exmple...rainbows,barbs etc.....)

Look up the any fish you are interested in and look at the required = hardness, pH, temperature, salinity, and temperament. To me, this is a failsafe way of blending in tanks.

BTW, I have seen MANY people put clown loaches in African tanks with very little to no problems.

I keep clown loaches in my malawi tank. They do fine in there.
