Feeding Sch

How many times and when do you feed your fish?? Do you stick to a schedule..curious most people feed twice daily and some would say that would be overfeeding.

In the past, I have fed once a day 6 days a week. I am trying to cut back a bit to 2 out of 3 days. I have a tendency to overfeed, so I am making the attempt to keep my fish healthy.

I started out only feeding once six days a week then one day off...I don't want to starve them but My schedule now is every other day

I eat everyday so I feed my fish everyday.

Me too. I generally don't feed on Tuesdays or Fridays. I usually do one feeding the other days. The exceptions for fry grow out tanks, where I usually feed at least twice a day.

I have a friend who only feeds her fish once a week.

We feed our fish small amounts twice a day, and alternate between about 10 to 12 different foods a week, depending on what is available for live foods. Just remember - more food= more waste= more frequent water changes/ over-filtration.

5-6x per week on the adult Malawi stuff. Daily on everything else.

If I can, I try to feed the fry twice daily. Also trying to feed the discus and trophs 2x smaller feedings daily. This generally only happens a few time a week though.

I sometime miss a day here and there
