EDTA and heavy metal?

Will adding fertilizer with EDTA iron in it precipitate the heavy metals in my water? And then will filtration (I have sponge, do I need to use carbon?)/plants remove them, or will they eventually just become un-precipitated again back to harmful forms?

I'm a bit unclear on this despite what I tried reading.

What is the pH in the tank in question?

It's 6.2 pH. It's the type of iron I read to get for my ferts bc of the lowish pH.

I have a detailed water report if it's helpful.
