HERE are some DIY using 2 liter soda bottles. I have been using the ones in the second picture with two hatcheries for more than a few years. 2062520626

For a while I was not separating the BBS from the shells, I was just filtering out all through a brine shrimp net and feeding the mix. But if you look closely at the picture, one of the bottles has a valve on it like you get on refillable water bottles. You pull out the aeration tube and let the hatching solution set a couple minutes. Then drain through the valve until there is no red color in the otherwise colorless stream, collecting the BBS in a brine shrimp net. I just pour back the recovered liquid, add more eggs and repeat hatch and harvest about two weeks before changing the water to fresh salt water.

the valves are available https://backpackinglight.com/forums/topic/100770/. though they are probably available elsewhere, I got mine years ago and it may have been in a store like Target.

The aeration tubes are just stiff airline tubing available from supply houses. I got mine from https://www.kensfish.com/aquarium-supplies/air-supplies/3-16-od-rigid-airline-tubing.html.

Oh yeah, I see now, I know what kind of bottles those are. These are great tips, thank you Frank!
