This is just a little insite for those who may be as simple minded as I am. When you wash your dishes while preparing for doing a water change of 50% of a 120 gal tank. REMOVE dishcloth from sink before you begin to drain your tank, and
see a stampede of cats running from the kitchen, and dinning room towards the living room.
60 Gallons of water is more then you might think when its all over your kitchen floor, hardwood dinning room floors and soaks through into the basement. The funnest thing about this was I though my cat was peeing on my floor when i noticed the incomming water and was about to scream at her.
So I now double check the sink, and hope to never flood the house again.
