Discus Spawn!

I recently got a Discus pair from Gary from Doug, and they just spawned for me. They are a Snakeskin, and red snakeskin pair. The father is just stunning, the mother develops a beautiful red color when she is happy. Here they are, and Mama is below with her spawn on the cone. I have decided to name them Muller and Chime (characters from one of my favorite series's).

Domestic discus are prolific spawners. However, hatching and rearing discus fry are not so easy. Good luck and keep us posted.

Thank you everyone. This is my first spawn, and so far the eggs are all still fertilized and there. The biggest threat Muller and Chime face are these really prolific snails. Josh told me what they were but I forgot. I hope the assassin snails I put in will eventually dwindle the evil snails' ranks. I will keep you posted!
