I think two of mine spawned. What do their eggs look like?
The female was hanging out in a tiny clay pot and there were some black/dark bumps in it. I've never seen any of them in one of their pots before.
I didn't see any/much aggression towards the rest of the group. (They've been housed together in a grow out tank. I need to separate.)
At what point in the process do they get aggressive?
Is there a market for this species? I only try to spawn to meet demand.
I think higher protein must have induced the spawning behavior. Thoughts? I didn't plan on spawning them, it just happened. Any thoughts on higher TDS? Because their tank had some significant evaporation lately too. I can't find info related to the lake they're from regarding this.
How many gallons per a pair? I've read widely varying amounts.
