Checkers/bap Committee

(No, Mike, this has nothing to do with the board game.)

So, has anyone been out checking on any spawns, hmmm? It's not hard to do . . . I've even pulled it off myself a couple of times (although, for some reason, Francine subsequently moved, Marya never asked again, Pat literally begs other people to come to his house . . . hmmm, I'm sensing a pattern here.)

Perhaps more important, given that some of you are not insisting that your fish practice safe sex, I would like some volunteers to reconstitute the BAP "Committee" (aka the Cichlid Club Committee of Public Safety . . . heh heh heh). If you read through the BAP Guidelines, you will see that you need a committee member to verify all spawns (that is, the second "check"). Seeing how geographically spread out we are, plus my personal opinion that any fish that Francine keeps--by definition--should be ineligible for points*, it would make sense for us to be diverse, both by location and interest.

So, feel free to start volunteering or, something that often is more effective, volunteering others!

Cheers,
Steve

(* This explains, too, why Francine is a committee member.)

Dang it, you lured me in under false pretenses. Thought it was a game and it turns out to be more work. As always, I volunteer my services. If possible, I can check fry.

Is there any interest in the BAP program? No one wants to volunteer. My lithobates female is holding again, this time I seperated her hours after breeding. I have 4 fry that she spit into my 75 gallon tank the last time she was holding. Tore down the tank and took all the fish out of the tank except the fry. ( 4 ) 1/4" fish in a 75 gallon tank, I was afraid to overstock :spanka:

I'm interested in it. But, I'm not driving all over the place. We are all too spread out to do this ... If I'm over at your place for some reason of course I will be a checker... that applies to anyone.

A solution to your probelm... even if you don't want to sell them. You can bring the fry into the meeting and show a checker. Then take them home. Or just put them in the auction.

You have a fish room now... so I'm quessing you are going to be selling fry from time to time. Members will come over from time to time and they can be the checker.

I have a bunch of fry that needs to be checked as well... infact you and Kevin saw them on Sunday. HMMMM I think you qualify :p

Callochromis 20 points
Limnotilpia dardenni 20 points
Tropheus Sp. Red Lupota 30 points
Tropheus sp. Red Moliro 30 points

I think as of last time I had 220 points...

So if these count... I'll have 320.

Do they count if I write them up?
