Cascade 1000 spray bar size

I have a Cascade 1000 canister filter I picked up with a couple others. The previous owner had them connected to one another in line. I've split them apart and set up the other two, but have run short on parts for the last one. I have the intake tube intact, but no parts for the return.

I was thinking I can use this diy waterchange piece I made, just cut the return side and use the 90 at the bottom to turn it to the side and drill holes for a spray bar and pick up an end cap to seal the other side. One question though: Is half inch pvc to large for a return spray bar for this filter?

I think half inch will be fine. I think that is what I am running on my spraybar. Just make sure when you drill your holes that you start small and then go bigger if you want to change the flow.

Right. It's not the size of the spraybar, but the size and number of holes that will determine how fast the water comes out.
