CAS December 11.

We are getting our first taste of the polar vortex (Cold Weather) here in PA. Temperatures are to be below freeing all this coming week. Monday is iffy for shipping. It may be warm enough during the day for the Fed EX truck not to get down to freezing if the below freezing temperatures hold off to late night. The rest of the week is out for shipping/with lows in the teens to the twenties.

Holiday Shipping Notes:

No Fed Ex Shipping after Tuesday December 20, 2016 until Tuesday January 3, 2017, weather permitting.

Fed Ex Express Rates go up by an average of 3.9% and Ground and Home Delivery Rates go up an average of 4.9% January 2. Dimensional weight divider changes to 139 from 166. This means my smallest box (11 x 11 x 6) goes up from 5 lbs. dimensional to 6 lbs. year round. My 12 x 12 x 10 Boxes go up from 9 lbs. to 11 lbs. dimensional weight. My 12 x 12 x 12 Boxes go up from 13 lbs. to 14 lbs. dimensional weight. My 18 x 18 x 10 Boxes will remain at 25 lbs based on the weight of the fish for a full box vs 24 lbs for dimensional weight. The added dimensional weight is likely to raise smaller box shipping rates closer to 10% for Ground and Express.

On to better News. Local pick up by appointment remains available most Mondays through Saturdays during the Holiday Period. With shipping down, this is when I need my local pick up customers to come through with orders, to help cover operational expenses.

I have a number of fish in quarantine that will be added to the web site around December 22, 2016. These fish include several 3+" males. Check out my expected page for more information.
