I can now confirm the sex, 99.9% sure, of my Hericthys Carpintis and Blood Parrot because the pair just had their first offspring!
The Parrot Mom guards the fry like crazy. The Carpintis Dad chases all the other fish away from the area.
I think I'm going to set up another tank for the pair now because he has become incredibly aggressive and my two, foot long, Plecos seem to be taking some punishment when in the area.
Any suggestions on how to move the pair with fry into another tank without them going berserk? Should I just move all the other fish into another tank and keep the pair where they are?
