Thank you Frany for opening your home once again!

And thank you everyone for the tips in photoshop! I need to look for that patch now!

Thanks to Mike and Franny for doing the workshop. As usual I learned some new things from Mike and Franny but I never thought I would learn so many new things from questions people asked me,lol.
I'm getting to know my camera better than I thought but there are still plenty of buttons, methods, menu's I don't know yet. Since I'm not fluent in Owner's Manuel yet, it's always nice to have some one who can tell you how to do something in plain English, thanks again.

I had a really great time hanging out on Saturday. Thanks again to Mike and Franny. I learned a lot and unfortunately, may not be able to hold off on getting a remote flash that much longer... I've been avoiding "taking the plunge" for some time now, but after seeing them in action, am gonna start shopping around for one. :)

Oh yeah, and thanks for switching my camera's menu out of "dummy mode"... aka "Tony mode." lol.

OK I missed the workshop - away on business - really PO'd. I must admit that I spent (with good intentions) big bucks on a D90, lenses, and flash and have yet to take my first fish picture!!!

I need some hands on help to put theory into practice!! I'll provide the tanks & fish as subjects and liquid of another sort and large round edible things for those willing to serve as instructors.

Anyone willing to help me dip my toe into fish photography? Or, just dunk my head for not just jumping in with both feet?

I have to believe that a hands-on type photography workshop would be an amazing addition to the ACA convention.

I'd bet that people would be willing to pay a bit extra for the class (or at least register earlier, if there are limited slots).

And there would be plenty of subjects for photographs...

Just an idea...

It was discussed.
It has been done before.
They did it two years in a row. I know it was Atlanta but cant remember if there was one the year before? Or after?
They are starting to run together.

Cool - we've got some amazingly skilled photographers in the club...and maybe we could recruit Mo... How many people would pay (or at least register early) if they knew they could get some hands-on training?

Do you know how well it went? How many people etc? Did they charge extra?

The one I went to with Bobby and Mike was cool.

It was discussed but is not on the schedule. Too many things and not enough time.

At conventions, you can always grab someone and ask for tips while taking pics in the show room. There's always several people taking photos mulling around. Always works for me.
