As announced at the February meeting, CCA will be hosting an aquatic photography workshop at Francine's house in Beltsville, MD.

It will be on Saturday, April 2, 2011 and start at 11:00am. We are limiting the amount of people to 10 (additional dates may be added if we get enough interest). Participants will be divided into groups of 5 and the workshop will consist of two sessions. One group will be in the fish room getting hands on, practical experience shooting fish in Francine's tanks while the other group is out in the main room getting advice and pointers on using photo editing software to fine tune their photos. We will have a quick break for lunch and the groups will switch.

Workshop will be open to both DSLR and Point & Shoot cameras. Participants can bring their own cameras. Different flash setups will be demonstrated and explained. Several different photo editing programs will also be utilized.

Mike Hill will be handling the photography portion of the workshop while Francine Bethea will be sharing her knowledge of photo editing.

Food (probably pizza) and drinks will be provided for lunch.

Cost is $10 per person. Space is limited so we only have room for paid participants.

Please feel free to email or PM Francine or myself if you have any questions.

Added a note about limited space. Paid participants only. Which is a nice way of saying no spouses and kids looking over your shoulder :)

I might have to bring my kids (if that is ok), I will know well in advance but if I do, I will gladly pay more to cover the expenses of them eating.

If there's still one spot left, my little sister, Ashley Johnson would like to attend.

She and her hubby Matt recently picked up a Canon DSLR and she's all about shooting her new tank.
