Thanks ma'am, but I hate paying for shipping with a passion so I always miss out. I am a cheap SOB sometimes.

perhaps CCA should coordinate a group order with them..i can not for the love of the gods get a single apisto jammed into any of my tanks...but if someone can that means in the future they might be available locally! :jumpy:

I can attest for the quality of fish from Wetspot.

I got my Uaru from him and have not lost a one. Those are more difficult to acclimate than altums in my opinion.

He does not guarantee sexes on the apistos but I would think if the club did a group buy you'd have pretty good chances of getting an even number of pairs. I'm sure when they import they are getting them in pairs as that is the only way I've ever seen them on import list from Europe and Asia. The exception would be wild caught. They are usually high in males.

I'd be in for a group order if we did one... They have a lot of nice Africans as well.

Would want to wait until December though - Christmas party delivery perhaps? Have a lot of balls in the air right now in terms of orders as well as the ECC auction rapidly approaching.

I would join in too. I would rather now as I don't know my schedule in December.

Steve just got in a bunch of Apisto. on Thursday (10/6/11). Lucky for me I can go to his place and hand pick the fish myself. I have to say the selection on Apisto is impressive.

Hey Albert, I sent them an email about the bitaeniata but haven't heard back yet. The Dicrossus are doing great.

Steve has a small group in the Wetspot with at least 2 females that I spotted. I am not sure how many he has at the Cichlid Exchange. Glad to hear the Dicrossus maculatus are doing well, took me 3 months of hard work to get them to 1"+ size. Do you see any potential male yet?

As for the Apisto selection, someone went over there and pick clean a few of the species already. As Steve was telling me, so of the species are flying out the door.

Steve just put a bunch more up! Now I don't feel bad for paying what I did at the last meeting ! He is charging 45.00 for one diamond face aka Kelleri :)

I had no clue how high to bid!
