Apistogrammma Cacatuoides

so i got it about 2 months ago, was nice and healthy "looking", but lately was spending too much time in the top of the aquarium and had this white dots in the head...one in the middle, two to each side...then last week i noticed a "scratch-like" to its sides...i put it in a cup with a drop of melafix and a drop of pimafix and probably ended its existence like that didn't mean to but read somewhere that a salt-dip or med-dip can help heal. my question is, what could those spot thing had been???? anyone?

no hole, thats what i was afraid of...but just like a white dot on the skin...
