Mine is about 22" deep i think and the comets have been fine over 2 or 3 winters so far. I think the thickest it has frozen over was about 2" maybe 2-1/2". Of course the deeper you can go the better.

Also if you want some comets, i have plenty available for free.

Oh nice mine is 25” deep.

Thank You for the offer on the comets. Where would pickup be?

Dan, I am working at JBA (Joint Base Andrews) which is next to Upper Marlboro and could possibly pick up for you and drop off. Are you still in Gaithersburg/Germantown?
