Some poor dude went home, told his wife about it, and all it took was one gonad-shrinking glare to make him turn, tail between his legs, and call it off.

Either that or (like in my house), some poor woman went home, told her husband about it, and he grabbed a bottle of motor oil, anti-freeze, or bleach and said "Cancel now, or the closest fish tank gets it!"
