CCA Meeting 13 September Minutes
Meeting was held at Ron & Charlotte Nielsons house (in the new fish room)
Meeting was opened for discussion at 2:15 pm by Ron Nielson, President
OLD BUSINESS:
No old business was discussed
NEW BUSINESS:
Membership dues: Membership dues are due this month. Dues must be paid before you can vote for board members. Please contact our membership person, Tracey Kelly to renew your dues. (Checks can be made payable to Ron Nielson, until the club gets a treasurer and opens an account. ACTION
Elections for Board Members: To be held prior to the next meeting. Since we would like to give the ability to vote to ALL paid members a web-based poll will be conducted to vote in board members. IF ANYONE NOT PRESENT WOULD LIKE TO NOMINATE SOMEONE (INCLUDING THEMSELVES) FOR A POSITION, PLEASE E-MAIL CHARLOTTE AT charlotte@fishpost.com. No more nominations will be taken after 21 September. The poll will be started on 22 September and will last for two weeks. Please be sure to keep checking the board for the poll to start. Only paying members can vote. The following nominations were taken:
President - Ron Nielson - Francine Bethea
Vice President - Pat Kelly
Treasurer - John Kim - Tracey Kelly
Secretary - Charlotte Nielson
Corresponding Secretary - Francine Bethea - Ron Nielson
Web-based Message Board Forum: The president encourage members to use the board in a positive way, since this is how we will be able to get new members from our web site.
The Yahoo group email will no longer be after 11 October.
PayPal Account on the Club Web site: You will soon see a PayPal account button on the web site. This can be used for new members joining and to renew dues.
Members were asked what they would like to see in our club in the future. The following is a list:
- Community Support
- BAP simplified
- Enforcement of activities if someone offers to do something follow through
- More fund raisers
- Fixed meeting locations in advance
- More formal meetings with speakers / topics
- More organized schedule
- Small classes at each meeting to share knowledge
- Communications among members & non-members
The following members renewed their membership:
