wtb female festae

Hey guys, I have alwaays wanted to breed festae, but I do not wan't to pay an outragous amount for shipping when I could support local breeders. So if anyone has a 4 - 5 inch female festae I would be more than willing to take her off your hands.

Good luck finding one locally. I know it can be a tough search. Rich was on the hunt for a long time.

If you don't find one, we are having a group buy from Dan at Cichlids of the Americas in September. I would bet he has them.

The guy I got my male from got him at the fish store in greenbelt, ist that place still open, and if so what is the name? And also how do I join the group order, do I just pm you what I want.

Typically on group buys, each person deals with the seller directly. You tell them what you want and pay them for it. Once everyone gets their orders placed, the total for shipping will be picked up by one person and he/she will collect your portion of the shipping. It works out well.

The place you are thinking about is called Greenbelt Aquarium (I think). Last I heard it was still open. I know there are several on the forum who go there pretty frequently.

I think thought they were called Beltway Aquarium? Richard's place, right? Anyway, he does get festae in, but sometimes they are awfully hard to sex. He supposedly has an awesome pair there now, but he's not selling them.

I have bought festae from Dan of COA in the past, that have turned out to be very nice fish. He's not exactly the best packer... but I have always received quality fish at about the best prices among most vendors.
