Wow! That's the first video (much less, picture!) I've seen of plecos in the wild, albeit in an environment they do not belong in!

Wow... I always thought of plecos as being a solitude fish. Just never thouht of them schooling

Well that part of the river should not have an algae problem!!

I thought all fish (or alligators) that got released, where they were not supposed to be, always swan into some chemical/toxic waste and grew 10 times larger than they were supposed to be and terrorized small vacation communities. Seems like I read about that somwhere, or maybe saw it on TV.

I don't get it. I kept waiting to see the skeleton, or for them to attack the photographer . . . but, nothing.


So, since I'm not up on these fellows, are they not native to Mexico?
