To eggs grow in size?

When a female is holding do the actual eggs grow in size or are they as large as they are going to get from day one?

The female's mouth will get more full over time as the eggs turn into babies...when you start seeing little eyes peeking out of her mouth...you know it's time to either strip the babies or let her spit them (in a separate tank or net breeder).
