it's 100 gallons. i think its 38x2ftx2.5ft tall. I plan on getting a new tank soon to move my africans too. i currently have way too many fish (i think im addicted to buying them) i have 7 tiger barbs, 1 clown loach, 1 pleco, red zebra, acei, compresseceps, 3 jack dempseys, green terror, some type of Geo from petsmart, tropheus, borelyi, columbian shark, theres more but i forget right now haha.

Depends on the type of cichlids... a 55 gallon should be ok though.

Your borleyi and compressiceps will need something bigger eventually, but the 55 will be a decent stop-gap. If you are planning on buying a new setup (and don't already have a 55), skip a step and go straight to the 75. The cost difference will not be that significant. These fish will be fine in a 75 long-term.

i can get a 75 gal with stand and filter and stuff for $350, or i can get the 55 with filter for under $100.... Seeing as i only spent 300 on my 100gallon, im nto inclined to purchase the 75... I'll go look at it Wednesday and see. The borelyi and the comp hate each other haha.


i'd liek to keep the dempsey pair, and a few of the smaller mroe aggressive cichldis liek the acei and the red zebra and the compreceps and tiger barbs in the big tank because they seem to get along.

If you think the borleyi and comp hate each other now in the 100, wait until you put them into a 55....

i'd probably keep the comp with the JD's. they dont seem to mind him.
