I don't right now, but I do have a breeding pair likely spawn again soon, being rainbow cichlids and all.

I have some young ones pairing off. As soon as I have a dominant pair, I plan to get rid of the extras.

Pretty crazy. There used to be so many rainbows in the club that you couldn't give them away...

Mine spawn pretty regularly...just don't pull or raise fry. It takes a good 6 months to get 2" fish.
I'm sure that Josh/Batfish can get them!

true, good size ones were getting auctioned for a 2 bucks a piece during our meetings..

They're wonderful fish - colorful, relatively peaceful, hardy, good parents, interesting breeding behavior, don't get too big, easy to mix with other New Worlds.
What's not to like? I've kept them for many years. They take up room in my fishroom that other, I guess, more rare fish could occupy. But they're just nice fish.
If you've never kept and bred rainbow cichlids - which I'd assume is all but a handful of people in the club, you're missing out!

Unless in a really large tank, it's hard to find good tank mates for a breeding pair of jewels!

Ahem -- the flood of rainbows was entirely my fault. I looooove that fish, but I ended up having to get rid of my last pair because I couldn't deal with all the fry. What happened?????

Did any of these ever pop up? I've been racking my brain trying to find a good stock for my 30 long and I'm really starting to dig these. I just watched a few videos and some of them seem bright yellow while others are more brown with hues of blue. Is this them coloring up or down or just different localities? Also if anyone is selling rainbows hit that Pm button.
If no one in the club has any for sale maybe some of us can do a group order from rapps or josh?
