Anyone use this in fluidized beds or reactors with low flow? I've heard it gets more area coverage this way as the bags can get only partially used that needs recharging.

You need to use the Seachem bag, with the smaller hole size. There may be other bags that will work, but I've never seen them.
 
I use pantyhose they work fine, if you teally strech them you may lose a few pieces but very little
