I picked up an F1 Pundamilia pundamilia at the CCA May meeting last year and he's grown to become my favorite cichlid I'm keeping.
Last November he and a few others came down with some internal parasites. I treated them in a QT tank for a couple of weeks. I haven't seen any symptoms of internal parasites since treatment except I haven't been able to fatten him up.
He acts normally. He eats, is active, and all around a joy to watch. I really don't know why he's not gaining bulk.
I don't think I am underfeeding (I feed twice a day a moderate amount of food. I put in enough that I know everyone gets some (even the bichir who hangs out at the substrate).
Here's an image of the food I'm feeding. I try to mix it up although my staple food is New Life Spectrum - Cichlid Formula. I also have been using the Ken's Cichlid Flakes (because I have a lot of it).

Does this particular species of Hap have a more slender structure? Should I be going with an even higher protein diet? Less? I just want to fatten him up!
