Do all these plants need CO2? and can I keep them with african cichlids if the plants are potted?

1 Crypt Spiralis ( this isn't a single stem right? ,,, like a bunch of them??? )

The C. Spiralis is a bare root plant. The roots are a little parger than a golf ball and there are at least 8 - 10 leaves on them.
