Need Help IDing this mean Cichlid

Was given this beautiful cichld by a friend who thought he may be in the Vieja family. I have tried to put this cichlid in my 110 gallon and my 125 gallon tanks with no success. He is too aggresive for even my larger 10" cichlids, so now he is alone in a 50 gallon tank. I have included some photos and would love someone to identify him. By his demeanor I'm starting to think he is a flowerhorn.... What do you guys think?

It looks like some form of a Kamfa flowerhorn. Beyond that, unless your friend had the parents of this fish, its unlikely that you will ever know for sure what combination of cichlids created it.

Flowerhorn would be my first choice and Trimac would be second. Both get big and can be very mean. I kept a large male ZZ FH a few years ago that was pushing 12" and couldn't be kept with anything and was a vicious glass banger.
